Making Global Sense on March 1 was named a finalist for the 2023 Eric Hoffer Book Awards’ Montaigne Medal for “the most thought-provoking book.” The award winner will be announced this spring. Michel Eyquem, Sieur de Montaigne, was a 16th century writer of the French Renaissance renown for his essays that combined philosophical insights with memoir and anecdotes. Because Making Global Sense likewise blends essay and memoir, recognition for the Montaigne Medal is especially meaningful.
