Thoughts, people, places, things
30 tips in 30 days: #8.
Because all life is interconnected at the vibrational level, how we think about the people, places, things, and situations in our lives has an energetic influence on these people, places, things, and situations. Thoughts are things, and things affect other things.
According to the Law of Attraction, as well as Religious Science and Unity, our thoughts and related feelings create our reality. If I replay in my mind an upsetting conversation, stewing over an insult, for instance, since my brain can’t differentiate between a memory or a live event, as I trigger the neurochemicals associated with negative feelings, I send out negative vibrations that magnetize to me more negative experiences like the one that upset me.
Consequently, a central element of my transformation in recent years has been deliberately shifting how I think as a way of shifting my emotional, physical and spiritual reality. I often engage in mental dialogue to control my thoughts. “Ah, I’m thinking Obama will save us. That’s my authority addiction talking. I choose self rule.”
The more I cultivate loving “self talk,” the more I train my brain and my heart to think positive thoughts and feel good feelings when bad things happen. The more I send out positive vibrations into the universe, the more my life flows in loving harmony with the universe. The more l develop self control over my own thoughts, in essence, the better my life works. It’s all interconnected.
